Our Design

IMG_3132.JPG

What you need:
  • Shredded Plastic
  • Oven (for melting plastic)
  • Baking paper (to put the plastic on)
  • Oven tray (To hold shredded plastic and baking paper)

Step 1:
  • First you have to get a metal tin and put some baking paper in it so when you heat the plastic it won’t stick to the pan.lili

Step 2:
  • After you have done step 1 you have to get the plastic bits and put in in the metal tin, make sure you don’t over flow it with the plastic or when you put it in the oven it might overflow.

Step 3:
  • When you have put the right amount of plastic bits in the tin you can finally put it in the oven and wait for it to melt.

Step 4:

  • Make sure to watch the plastic while it's in the oven because if you don’t it might overflow because you might have put too much in the tray.

Step 5:

  • When you think it is ready you get one member from your group to put gloves on to get the plastic tray out. When you take it out  put some more plastic bits with it again and put it back into the oven.

Step 6:

  • You can choose how much plastic to add in the plastic plaits and when you're  finished with the whole thing.

Here is me and my group's steps to creating plastics sheets. We typed down how we made it and how it should be made. Here is also some pictures to show what we did it.

  1. Hi my name is Alisi I’m from Kawakawa Primary School. I liked how you explained everything step by step and the cool photos. Next time you can say what you enjoyed and what you found hard. Also what were you making? Here's my blog if you want to check it out.
