Narrative Writing Week 4

This week for writing our class did narrative writing. Narrative writing is a fictional writing where you can write a story based on anything and using your imagination to build a story and make it fictional. In my own time I spent time watching funny, amazing and even emotional X factor auditions. I then decided to write a story as if I was the judge and what happened then. Here is my writing.

Beginning:

It was a beautiful day in Australia. It was the first day of X factor auditions, I was one of the judges and I felt very excited to see what kind of talents were out there. The first person to audition was a lady, all dressed up and eyes with highlighted purple eye shadow. she said she was going to sing a very complicated song. She shakily sang like this, “hooheehoooheehooheehoheehoooheehuuuheee! ” Me and the other judges started laughing and she stopped. Her singing was funnier than a cow trying to sing. We all said no and she exited the auditioning room. Next was a tall blonde haired man, he sang and sang and sang and sang, It didn’t stop and even one of the judges next to me were sleeping.

Next was a 17 year old girl. She wore black ripped jeans with an ombre top, red bandana and was ready, holding her microphone. She sang ‘ who’s loving you ‘  She was absolutely unbelievably amazing, her voice was as low-key and powerful at the same time. The crowd was on their feet and absolutely amazed. She cried proud tears and we all praised her, and we all said yes. Next up was a group of filipino girls, they were named 4th impact. They sang ‘ Bang Bang ’ and they performed along with a sassy dance. I was absolutely blown away, even the crowd were on their feet clapping and cheering. I loved them and the judges and I said yes and they started crying, because it was their dream.

End:

The last was a 24 year old guy named James Arthur. He sang an acoustic version of a judge's song. His singing was perfect and he probably became a celebrity already. All of us judges said yes and he was so thankful. The crowd cheered and clapped for him as he left the stage.

At the end I actually liked writing fictional stories and so I enjoyed this task very much. I think maybe next time I should work on, writing about something totally out of the blue and from my imagination and not just re-write about something that has happened in real life.

Learning Week 3

So this week I learned on how to write a narrative writing. I learned that in a narrative writing, you should plan out first, ten use paragraphs, have correct punctuation and have a beginning, middle and end. I think for me, I should work on being more creative and turn my imagination into a cool narrative writing. In my opinion, narrative writing really does express your imagination and makes up an awesome piece of writing.

Beginning - One silent night I was sitting on the ancient couch, watching some boring old channel on the tv. All of a sudden I heard a knock on the door, I opened it, there was a big red envelope. I grabbed it quickly and the wind slammed it shut. I mysteriously opened the letter, it was an invitation to the night of lights forest party that happens every year before the day of halloween. Everyone going had to bring a night light, I rushed into my room and put on a fancy gown and gapped it with my glass night light. When I arrived there, there was a lot of night lights hung around the tree but no one in sight, I thought everyone was either moved to a different location or was hiding. I was wrong! There were clowns dressed in beautiful gowns and clowns dressed in suits, they came towards me crouched and walking creepily towards me. I tried to escape but there was no way out.
“ heeeeeeeeeeelllllllllppppppppp ! ’’ I desperately screamed.

Middle - “ Bahahahahahhaha ! ’’ everyone laughed. I was confused as to why they were laughing when they shouted “ happy halloween ! ’’ I started laughing to myself and everyone took their masks off, I can’t believe I forgot about halloween. All in all it was a beautiful, magical, wonderful night of laughter and fun activities. As I was walking home it was very very silent the whole time, suddenly I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around, no one was there so I nervously rushed home trying not to trip over my dress.

This here, is my narrative writing, that I didn't complete but tried to make up something using my imagination.

Reading Learning for this week

This week for reading I learnt to infer about a book. I had to identify a specific character, then facts about the character. After that, I provided how the character felt throughout the book. I then finally had to write quotes (speeches ), they say. I think overall it was pretty good task I did this week. For next week, I think I should work on working on a task, more complicated, so that it can challenge me a little more and I can learn something new.

This is a task I did this week about a book from the school journal, called - Eye Witness
